Apple Cinnamon Granola Recipe 🍎

I made this granola recipe in the spirit of fall flavours 🍂 The autumn aromas while baking this granola will fill your kitchen with apple cinnamon bliss. A super yummy addition to your yogurt or other granola-enhanced snack. Use dried apple chips, or make your own as described below!

Ingredients

  • 3.5 Cups Oats

  • 2 tsp Cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp Ginger

  • ¼ tsp Cloves

  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg

  • ½ Cup Whole Almonds

  • ¼ Cup Shaved Almonds

  • ¼ Cup Pepitas

  • ¾ Cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce

  • ⅓ Cup Honey or Maple Syrup

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • ½ tsp Maple Extract (optional)

  • ½ Apple, Chopped (or ¼ Cup Dried Apple)

  • ¼ Cup Dried Cranberries

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Chopped ½ an apple into small chunks and spread on a baking sheet. Cook in the oven for 10 minutes

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, spices (cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg), nuts, and seeds.

  4. Add wet ingredients (apple sauce, honey, and extracts) to mixture and stir until fully combined.

  5. Transfer granola onto the same baking sheet as the apples and spread well

  6. Bake for 20 minutes, stir, and bake for another 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Store in a sealer container for 3-4 weeks
