All of the Energy Ball recipes I have been posting have a good hit of protein from ingredients like nuts, chia seeds, nut butter, etc. but I wanted to bring these to the next level by using my Vanilla Whey Protein Powder as an ingredient.
These turned out pretty good but I might add more honey or nut butter next time to make the mixture a bit more wet - I would suggest increasing the honey portion or adding some water to your mixture. And do not skip the raisins! If you don’t like raisins, consider adding a different dried fruit but they are essential to this recipe!
Ingredients
1 ½ Cup Oats
1 Cup Nut Butter
¼ Cup Honey
2 Scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tbsp Chia Seeds
3 tbsp Raisins
Directions
Add oats to a food processor until they are finely ground. Add in remaining ingredients except for raisins and pulse until well mixed.
Transfer mixture to a large bowl and add in raisins
Roll into 1.5 inch balls (this is where you can add in more wet/dry ingredients depending on the consistency of your protein bites)
Dust with ground cinnamon for the finishing touch!
Store in the fridge in an air tight container for 1 week & enjoy as a pre or post training snack!
